Amazon to launch online music store

yeah - thats the problem - amazon have some nice things but only sell books to SA. the rest is off limit.

We wont be able to access it here. Amazon have had a digital store for some time now. This is however the first time they have had drm-free downloads on it.
DRM free does not it will be region free

Lets hope they do it properly and don't sell the songs at $2 a shot or more so that after it fails the music execs can go "see, the public doesn't want drm free music"

Well, the Amazon store could very well fail. Luckily it wont only be up to them. The iTunes Store was the first to announce DRM free music, and I doubt that that is going anywhere.
