Amazon unveils new Kindle, Fire tablets

Amazon.com Inc ramped up its push into hardware on Wednesday with the debut of six new or upgraded devices, including a high-end $199 e-reader called the Kindle Voyage

The new basic one at $79 is interesting - wonder if it is worth importing at that price.
That works out at R870.00 (quick calc excluding conversion,tax and shipping fees etc).
Current SA prices on existing Kindle WiFi is R1399.00
