Thanks for your interest @Pho3nix

Provisional pricing has been published on our site but this may change closer to launch date

As always, beta testers who are able to provide us with benchmark data and feedback will be provided with coupon codes :)

I’m definitely keen to beta test. I see some of your VPS pricing has been cut as well?

Thanks for your interest and I’ll reach out to you as soon as we are ready!

Not too sure which pricing you are referring to as there haven’t been any price adjustments. The only changes are those to allow you to customize your vps and scale up and down as required - but this has been around for quite some time.

Haven’t looked in a while to be honest but I didn’t realize I could get a decent VPS for R55 lol.

How long is the test period?

Yeah, last month I was looking for a "droplet" type provider and I only ever knew of international providers doing these very low cost VPS's.. until I stumbled upon Absolute Hosting. Took a month to test, will prob sub for a year now.

Just a quick YABS benchmark. Went for a bit of a higher spec option, impressive IOPS. Definitely Ideal for high-performance workloads/I/O-intensive applications like database/web applications

From an infrastructure perspective, super quick and efficient setup process, the server was solid, providing a stable 10-12 ms latency roundtrip from home. Completed random speed tests over the course of an hour or so and results remained consistent which is a positive.

Test ISO upload from server with 1gig uplink.

It would be nice to see 1GB uplinks (even if its shared) to become a standard especially for a higher spec VPS. R3000 price bump from 500mbps to 1gig seems a bit excessive, also not a fan of the bandwidth limitations considering there are local providers out there that include the aforementioned in your mid-higher tier packages. However, I do understand that these affect the overall cost calculations to keep the monthly pricing ultra-low and competitive.

I've made the config change to allow you upgrade the vCPU's to 64 per VPS instance and you can use the upgrade function from the client service area to upgrade your VPS vCPU's at no cost as per below.
2025-02-22_08-56-02.png

I've bumped up the throughput for your VPS and you should get close to 1GBPS now, and I'll explain why we bill for the speed increases.
Our transit is currently sitting at 1GBPS and peers are up to 10GBPS, how ever our DDOS vendor charges us in slices of 250MBPS and the jump from 500MBPS to 1GBPS is an additional +- 350K per annum.

At these prices we have to try claw back some of the input cost how ever we could review that fee in the future based on feedback, ie what would an enterprise be willing to spend for 1GBPS connectivity?
