well thats what you get when you say "nooooo nooooo no" to rehab

sad, but a good example to kids of today
 
No real surprise,surprisingly.
It would have been tragic if she died by any other means rather than how we all know she died.
 
If you OD on your own, it won't help if the drugs were legal or illegal (I am not saying she OD'd and will wait for the autopsy to reveal her cause of death).

With illegal drugs you have a need to hide the shame of taking drugs so you're more like to take them away from help.
 
quite honestly speaking, i have very strong feelings that she aimed to join this 27's club. the fact that she was alone and made sure that there was no one there to revive her is just too suspicious. the same with heath ledger.
the many facts also point out to this 27's club carp, these people say they can't cope and need time on their own and next thing you know their bodies are found and for sure they can't be revived whatsoever. they make a good job of the over dose.
lindsay lohan is the next one for the 27's club.

Alcohol is not illegal and plenty of people have 'OD' (died). I have been out to a number of alcohol related deaths where someone drank themselves to death and that's why I am not convinced that legalisation is the answer.

But we digress; Amy is dead and we all suspect she OD'd, now let's wait for the official results.

Maybe drugs should be legalised, or at the very least legalised for addicts. This would put drug dealers out of business. It would be pointless trying to get new victims hooked on drugs because the addicts could then get their drugs from legal clinics.

edit: how much crime is committed by druggies trying to steal stuff to pawn so that they can afford their next fix?
 
You know I feel so sorry for celebs like her :( It is a tough life when the media/fans are against you.

Oh, and the taxpayer will fund it :erm:
I can see it now... board meeting of narcotics unlimited "Guys, they've discovered a new REALLY cheap and addictive substance, we will need to start stocking it from next month or risk it going underground".

Unfortunately destructive people who deliberately develop destructive habits will destroy themselves and the people around them, legal narcotics or not. Putting dealers out of buisness this way won't stop the suffering.
 
WINEHOUSE'S MOTHER: 'SHE SEEMED OUT OF IT'

Amy Winehouse's mother said the singer was not well when they met a day before she died, a British newspaper reported Sunday.

The Sunday Mirror quoted Janis Winehouse as saying she believed it was "only a matter of time" before her daughter died. The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her London home on Saturday.

"She seemed out of it. But her passing so suddenly still hasn't hit me," Janis told the tabloid.

Ambulance crews called to her home in north London's Camden area Saturday afternoon found the singer dead before they arrived. Police said the cause of her death is being treated as "unexplained," rejecting speculation that she died from a drug overdose as "inappropriate." A post-mortem is expected Monday or Tuesday.

Fans from around the world and neighbors have left a growing pile of flowers, candles and messages outside Winehouse's home, as tributes from celebrities poured in. One read "R.I.P. Never Forgotten," while another said "It's all right, love. Go now."

well, the tax-payer already forks out for policing the drug problem and then also at an individual level when we are victims of drug related crime.

Aren't some of the more addictive drugs quite cheap to manufacture?
