They're called pro-hormones. USN's one was called "Tribulus" or something if i remember right... came on and off the market about 10 years ago.
They've been around for ages but have been on and off the shelves over the years.

Judging by the the number of USN t-shirts i see at the gym (you get them when you buy those box-set things) clearly a lot of people are buying their sucker marketing. (they do brilliant marketing, i'll give them that. They even sponsor the Boks)

Never been a fan of usn stuff - only thing that works is their shaker.

Their protein shakes were kark (although their bars are pretty handy when you not in the shake mood), their products aren't 100% legit, hence every year a "new improved formula" comes out.

I started getting heart palpitations after using some of their Phedra-cut...and i'm not the only one.

This was the killer blow for me. I was at Pick n Pay looking at their muscle den whilst doing my monthly grocery shopping when a guy in a USN shirt comes up to me. He asks if i'm interested in anything specific...when i tell him I'm using certain USN stuff he told me to stop, he then took me to the Evox and the American imported stuff.

lol. Their shakes taste and after using other products I actually recovered better with other shakes. Obviously i'm not a scientist so I can't prove anything.
