It's only 27% get over it and switch it off. They'll get an stb, the longer you don't, the longer they'll just sit there being a typical SAFFER

Govt. can't take that chance with their mouthpiece. And they'll continue to shift blame to the likes of eTV even though they're calling for the same thing...

Africa politics at their best

This is just pathetic. E-media have no understanding of their own petty selfishness and how they are holding the country back. Analogue TV must be consigned to the 20th century where it belonged in order to free up much needed spectrum for 4G and 5G. If I can watch SABC Plus via 4G then so can you.

Whatever the reasons.... it's beyond pathetic.

That's the difference between having real leaders in charge and the clowns currently in charge. A real leader would've stuck to the original deadline and did the switch off as planned, no fcuking around and excuses. The clowns here in this case can't stick to anything but siht, dragging their feet all the way for everyone else to smell the siht.

That's why most projects in this country is on delayed African time... it just never gets done as it should be. It's always excuse after excuse, blah blah blah... it really gets old.

The deadline has arrived (1st Apr), and two of my terrestrial channels seem to have disappeared in Cape Town. These were the high frequency ones, SABC3 and eTV. The remaining low frequency channels SABC1 and 2 are unaffected.

Edit: Seemingly a temporary glitch earlier...

AFAIK this was part of the plan to release spectrum, but details may have got lost along the way.
