Just a small reminder:
1. Before OIF, all the world's major intelligence agencies agreed Saddam more than likely had a WMD program ... the French, the Russians, Germans, Italians, and a dozen others. It was not a GWB or Tony Blair lie, but the consensus of almost everyone with a real interest to know.
2. Saddam was one of the most brutal and oppressive dictators since WW2, and many Iraqis would say in all of history. 21 of 22 Islamic states (all but Syria, and also 'Palestine' if you count it as s state) detested him and supported the regime change. He fought two major wars against Iran, with 1.5 million casualties. One point five million people. Not to speak of biological warfare aganst Iran (still suffering today) and Kurdish tribesmen who were less than subservient. And the tens (hundreds?) of thousands of innocent ordinary Iraqis murdered by his evil regime.
3. Two general staff level military defectors from Iraq in 2000 and 2002 confirmed that Saddam had an active WMD program. This was widely reported at the time. Which is why the UN inspection program was so important - to try to verify the reports by high-level Iraqis themselves. It was Saddam who repeatedly stymied inspections, for 12 years. Remember that this was the same man who initiated a war of aggression against his neighbours and invaded Kuwait.
4. The only two UNSC members to oppose regime change were France and Russia. It turns out that both those countries had secret, extensive and corrupt oil and weapons contracts with Saddam. One wonders why they oppposed OIF even though they publicly agreed that Saddam was working on WMDs.
5. The invade-for-oil argument has been utterly demolished. The USA has not shipped one barrel of lower-cost oil from Iraq.
6. The USA has spent more on Iraqi infrastructure repair and expansion than Saddam spent in 15 years. Millions today have fresh clean water they never had under Saddam. Oil output is close to the highest level before sanctions - and the USA is not and never has benefited by even a dollar's discount. Never in history has an occupying power been so generous, fair and scrupulous in doing the right thing for the general populace.
7. After the liberation of Kuwait it was the Shi'ites who bitterly condemned the USA for not going all the way to Baghdad to overthrow Saddam. All but Syria and Palestine supported the USA-led action in both GulfI and GulfII.
8. I agree that the USA and Britain handled the PR poorly in the run-up to the invasion. The case should have been stated better, and it is basically this: After GulfI/ODF the UNSC had at least ten major unanimous resolutions (660, 661, 678, 686, 687, 688, 707, 715, 986, 1284 inter alia) demanding Saddam open his facilities to inspection. Every Muslim state (including Syria!) supported these resolutions. In every case Saddam stalled, agreed, stalled again, and finally reneged on or limited the inspections, and laughed at the toothless UN. Meanwhile he was killing his own people, financing Palestinian terror (plus $50,000 for each suicide bomber in Israel), and corrupting UN officials with Oil-for-Food. Then 9/11 happened. The USA and Britain took the decision that the time for puffing hot air was over and that the major powers had to back their words with deeds or the world would be powerless against tin-pot brutes like Saddam. In Nov 2002 UN Resolution 1441, passed unanimously, gave Saddam one last chance to comply or face the consequences. Saddam believed 1441 would be the same as all the previous ones - toothless empty rhetoric. But he miscalculated America's resolve to put deeds to words after 9/11.
9. Huge quantities of concealed weaponry and WMD-type materiel have been found in Iraq, but the generally anti-USA media won't report it widely (and remember, the mainstream US media like NYT, CNN, CBS, ABC, LAT, WP, etc are strongly anti-Republican/GWB). Besides, there are all sorts of reports that Russia helped Saddam get the most incriminating stuff out, probably to Syria, in the months before the invasion. A large number of buried fighter jets, missiles, explosives have been uncovered by sandstorms and not the ISG ... what else lies buried, one reasonably asks? Google will help you get reports and sources. Bush fully accepted the ISG's report and said no major WMDs were found even though all the major intelligence services believed their could be. Still unaccounted for are very large quantities of known and admitted WMDs - 600 tons of anthrax, 1000 tons of VX nerve agent to mention just two that official Iraqi reports to the UN stated Saddam's Iraq possessed.
10. To this day every Muslim state other than Syria and Iran supports the USA's actions in Iraq. The stongest words from the Islamic nations and leagues simply urge the coalition to end the occupation "at the earliest opportunity when it is safe to do so". Mmmm - strong words of condemnation indeed! Iran, eager to restore the Persian empire and reassert Shi'a dominance in a Sunni region, would love to see the USA fail, even though they were delighted to see Saddam go.
11. The Surge has been astonishingly successful - and fully compliant with the Geneva Convention, which is more than one can say for their adversaries. And America is not following the strategy of the Brits after WW1, when the jihadists of the day were stopped in one week by an innovative English general: captured jihadists were tried, executed and buried with pigs.
12. Ordinary Iraqis today can do what 95% of their regional co-religionists cannot do: choose their leaders and government with a vote. They can also start a business, travel freely internally or abroad, send all their children (male and female) to schools/colleges of their choice, and even choose what religion they adhere to, or none.

a) Population left: It's not that hard to find out what Iraq's population is. You seem to have access to a computer ... try using it to get some facts.
b) rape/kill: Don't you read the news, or do you select just the bits that suit your prejudice? Yes, there are ugly crimes committed by a tiny handful of ugly Americans. These soldiers break American law and are tried and imprisoned for their crimes. In at least a dozen cases non-military perpetrators have been tried and imprisoned by Iraqi courts. And guess who reports the majority of crimes by coalition personnel? US soldiers themselves.
