ANC Achievements

Im ganna actually get off my ass and ask them to remove that list.

You have to know when to pick your fights.

I started out this thread thinking you were being too hysterical. But now I kinda agree with you. Im going to contact people in the EC DA and ask them to have that removed.

I thought you would from the beginning. I was quite suprised by how confrontational you were being about it.

Ghoti used to be a guy who always spoke only about DA and what it's doing. It was admirable but he is now going into the realms of spreading lies about the country in a dishonest attenpt to boost DA support by discrediting ANC. That's not clever.

Ghoti I liked how you always avoided talking about ANC but rather showed DA photos and stuff like that. You gained my respect for that but now it's vapourising. You can spread as much lies about ANC, but please stop spreading lies about South Africa.

Then Motsoaledi should have provided the correct Facts.

Why must all the ANC ministers be corrected everytime.

What the minister actually said

But the story was fatally flawed; an uncritical rehashing of a half-heard statement made by the minister during a “taking Parliament to the people event” in Carolina in Mpumalanga province.

In his address in Carolina, Motsoaledi did indeed refer to a figure of 28%, but only in relation to the findings of an HIV testing and counselling campaign at a small number of hard-hit schools in the Natal Midlands.“The Minister of Health did not say ‘28% of school girls in South Africa are HIV positive,’” his spokesman, Joe Maila, told AfricaCheck.

“The journalist who wrote the story and the agencies that publicised the story got it all wrong.”

Maila said Motsoaledi had referred to a figure of 28% with reference to “a small sample of a few schools in the Natal Midlands”.

I was annoyed at how you misrepresented the DA. Especially that comment about how they should be talking about what theyre doing in the EC and not making stat lists. Thats BS. Many of their posts deal with what they are doing in the EC and making stat lists is part of the role of the opposition. Thats why I got annoyed.

But luckily my views change based on the balance of evidence. So thanks for correcting me and motivating me to get that list removed.

Dude, no one takes you seriously. I honestly really dont want your respect any more than I would want Robert Mugabe`s respect. Why would I? It means nothing. You have to be respectful yourself for me to care about gaining your respect.

Why don’t you ask them to support that list with evidence, it would be the best route than remove something that is causing havoc. Should they not be able to provide evidence then they should apologise.

Up-to-date data would be quite enlightening.

Okay, so its the HIV rate, the murder stat and the petrol price stat that are misleading. Can anyone pick up any others?

I thought the unemployment one was wrong but if you take the population boom into account, it is probably closer to 60%

Depends on who you ask and what "unemployed" is defined as in the stats.

Those stats have nothing to do with population booms. They reworked how they calculated unemployment and now factor in those that have given up looking for work.

At the same time SARS is running with one of the best tax systems in the world and number 1 amongst developing countries.

While e-toll is apparently a necessity.

Afaik our prezi is the only prezi in the world who showed his cock to the world

What a foolish post and brainfart. The ANC cannot be more discredited than they are doing all in themselves. I am surprised that most idiots here defend the percentage of the ANC failures but ignore the fact that that list is fairly solid and correct for most of the part.

But the ANC ilk on here will disagree even with those facts.

Murder rate stats: http://www.unodc.org/documents/data-and-analysis/statistics/crime/Homicide_statistics2012.xls

By decade (2010): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate_by_decade #10

The whole petrol issue is highly debatable, rather mention certain variants which caused these issues.

HIV rate is not quite true or wrong… there is no conclusive stats, plus these stats is all not the same depending on the organisations which compiled these. Does these stats only include SA citizens?

I'm a DA supporter but this kind of crap is pathetic:

• 19 years of ANC rule unemployment has gone up by 60% !!

As 70% of the population have suddenly been accounted for in statistics. Would like to see the source and the calculations, particularly the rebased calculations taking this factor into account...

• We are also on the top ten list for the most murders

No, we're not. In terms of numbers, yes, but not in terms if incidence rate, which is the important stat to take into account...

• In 19 years the rand/dollar has gone from R3.41 to R10.00

Stupid comparison. The pre-1994 exchange rate was an artificial number and was never truly representative of the economy in any way...

Will have to get to the rest later, but the others follow in a similar vein of emotional statements rather than factual comparisons. If you're going to have a dig at the ANC then there is a litany of issues to address as opposed to this childish, emotional drivel.

Poor form on the DA. I'd expect this kind of thing from the AWB...
