JOHANNESBURG - The ANC has condemned the vandalism and desecration of the Chris Hani Monument.

The party is calling for law enforcement agencies to protect the memorial precinct, located at the Thomas Nkobi cemetery in Ekurhuleni and to bring those responsible for the crime to book.
The SACP and Cosatu have also condemned the incident.

"We call on the City of Ekurhuleni to investigate this," said ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe.

I'm not trying to be funny, but how is anybody going to reach that high without scaffolding or a ladder and without sledgehammers or power tools? My guess is the tiles just fell off. Why not just crowdfund to raise the necessary funds to do the repairs and get started without all this vandalism nonsense? ANC wasting everybody's time here.... Maybe they can also crowdfund for some CCTV cameras if they suspect vandalism?

A week after the person who killed the person who's monument was released on parole?

As if.

It was intentional. Anyone who says it was just a pure coincidence that Janusz is released on parole and then this happens a week later must put down the crack pipe.

Some forget that Janusz is a hero in some people's eyes.
Yeah I'd also ignore the pictures of Hani and just pull down some random tiles if I was trying to make a point

I suppose vandalism is an appropriate term for what you would call the management style of communists.

Earlier this year:

On Thursday, Eyewitness News sent the City of Ekurhuleni several questions about the state of the cemetery. The very next day, the City dispatched a team to clean up the site. Questions about the budget to keep the site clean, why was it left in this state as well as members of the public's security concerns were not addressed.

The City of Ekurhuleni’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini only responded with this on Friday: “The cemetery is receiving attention. A team is on site cutting the grass and maintaining the facility. We do admit that the current state of the cemetery is not satisfactory, and we do apologise for that and do commit to ensure that the situation doesn’t occur again. With regards to the fence, we have submitted a claim to the insurance company. We are pushing them to process it speedily so that the fence can be fixed. Once again, we apologise to the members of the public for the current state of affairs. We do commit that it does not happen again."

And in 2018.

Wait, you actually believe it was really a coincidence, like an accident?

I mean look, I'm not saying whoever did that or whatever happened there was strictly done by Janusz's fanatics, it could have been pre--meditated by Chris Hani's comrades in the ANC so as to push public opinion against Janusz and his cause. Reverse psychology if you will.

But that the tiles just fell? No way, no way in hell.

This. R50 says someone bothered to visit the monument because of the Walus-parole situation and came across the state of decay.

I mean, just look how overgrown his gravesite is with weeds!
