ANC ministers to let

I am appalled. Reminds me of the stories of cops charging to open dockets. What is it with these people? Liars and thieves who (basically) condone the highest murder, rape, and robbery statistics in the world. Where is their moral fibre? It seems there is none!

The ANC again blurring the distinction between Political Party and State.
 
This is one of the more disturbing news stories I have heard about our government in a while. I am not surprised though, that would be naive. I am more concerned about the response this well get from the electorate.
 
I wonder if there's any kind of corruption they won't try, at least once...

The electorate will say nothing (do they ever?) How many of the electorate are commenting here?

Well that was my point. :) They can do anything they want because they are not held accountable. How many years do you think the anc will go without being held accountable for any of their actions before they decide to remove the possibility of accountability altogether?

I think there is a real danger that with every passing year, less accountability will ensue.

I have to say one thing this government has given us is more transparency (though with the arguments over the arms deal and kebble I'm not so sure.)

Under the nats we wouldn't hear of a lot of these things (though for sure the nats never sold "face time.")

Why cannot this transparency extend to all things? (My fear is the anc closes ranks, even more than they have, and we never get to hear about it.)

I wonder if Telkom needed to visit Ivy before the sat-3 lease expires..
 
I'm entirely in favour of a new crime being created : that of betraying the public trust.

Anyone government official who betrays the public trust should be dealt with in the strictest means possible. As long as there is no death penalty, it should be life imprisonment.

And if the death penalty is reinstated, well... :mad:
