The man will appear in the Hermanus Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, facing charges of the illegal possession and transportation of abalone.

...however on Monday it was decided that it would not be in the public interest for any criminal prosecution to take place as political meddling was suspected in the form of an official ANC vehicle having been used.
