ANC shrugs off warning on risks to SA mining

I agree, executives and shareholders are fleecing this. However, there is still a **** load of profit to be made even if workers are paid a more fair wage. If those London shareholders cant run a mine at profit with those types profits then perhaps they should make way for someone who can.

Hmm.. why should miners be treated different than any other occupation? The company I work for makes millions a month, yet I get a normal salary. Yes they work in dangerous sitsuations... but so does a stuntman? So does ambulance drivers, police etc. Don't like the situation? Then get another job. Unlucky for them, there are million jobless people, and you don't need a skillset to work in the mine.. (nothing training can't fix)

The only problem is the they will run the mines at a loss and it is going to cost the tax payers billions to keep them operational.

And I am pretty sure they will devise a way that the cost to the tax payers will be for the most expensive and least efficient option.
