Cape Town - The African National Congress parliamentary caucus had harsh words in its end of the year statement, issued by chief whip Stone Sizani's office on Sunday, for the “genetically modified revolutionaries” of the Economic Freedom Fighters and the “myopic, petty, politically bankrupt” Democratic Alliance.

“There is none in society, including its own membership, who can claim to remember anything of substance the EFF achieved in Parliament, other than the vicious efforts to erode and trash important symbols of our democracy, including Parliament as a symbol of democratic order and, recently, [former president] Nelson Mandela as a symbol of freedom and reconciliation,” the statement said. The recent vilification by EFF leader Julius Malema of Madiba's memory, who together with other revolutionaries made immense sacrifices, were subjected to untold suffering and personal hardship for the liberation, illustrated an unprecedented level of “political infantilism and ignorance which is naturally symptomatic of poverty of ideas.

Can someone explain the humour to me in this cartoon ? It seems like the type of joke my 3 year old nice would make. Comparing something to clowns, quite literally and without nuance, isn't clever or interesting. What about this cartoon is so witty that it's constantly posted over and over again ?

It is not supposed to be witty or humorous. It just pleases the OP to refer to the ANC as clowns and he lacks the wherewithal to come up with some cleverer than that regurgitation.

I wonder how they were genetically modified ?
Think about it. It does seem like they have reached a level where people without brains seems to breath and walk quite normally. So yes they might just be genetically modified brainless humans.....

Do you think they have people that review these things or is it just a 911 situation where you dot down a few things because you forgot to do it?
