So the weird thing is I have no issue with the video. If I remember they did have a 3090 (it was one sent with the prototype) but Linus thought it was such a weird niche product and wondered how it would fair with a more modern 4090.
Yes, it was not designed for it, but it's still a cool what if scenario. Turns out that it offered no benefits, which brought LTT back to their original question: why even bother?
Ultimately it's a super niche product and they should have made it clear in their conclusion that it doesn't offer any benefits to a 4090 while also providing benchmarks of it in its intended use-case.
In regards to the whole interaction and being sent to LTT in the first place: has Billet seen what these guys have been up to? They used an industrial fan to air cool a pc. I'm surprised they sent their prototype through expecting it to come back in one piece to be honest. Especially with how often Linus drops things.
