ANC to oppose e-tolls

They opposing their own decision? Me thinks they shat themselves when they saw how close the election was. Surely there must be penalties due to the overseas masters!

Its not quite that simple. This is opposition from the provincial ANC, whereas the decision was taken by the national ANC. Likely to lead to a very interesting clash.

Yeah exactly. The ANC disagreeing internally makes me happy.
 
Don't you know that it's the DA that started etolls? or it will be soon...

this is the death knell for this much hated system, next thing you know its gonna collapse,
just a question of when and how violent will be the fall.

I think most of GP will celebrate even if the fuel levy jumps quite a bit after this.
 
Hopefully e-tolls will be dealt the death blow now. The ANC in Gauteng does not want it, therefor it being only a Gauteng thing, it has to be cancelled asap. :) (that was my sarcasm Sunday comment)
 
DA has been opposing, and even going to court over e-toll with no progress made. I doubt this will lead to anything.

Hopefully the cancer will be weakened a bit and maybe they'll learn that they can't actually dictate to the taxpayers with the impunity they seem to think they have.

Maybe - consider the ANC strategy - make a problem, then solve your own problem and tell the masses what a hero you are .....

The DA are also just scoring points on the E-Tolls, but just got in before the cANCer did.

Of course, it's their own agency, and they told it to fight against them. Now they are saying they will do something about it, and the next step is to do nothing, and claim that they followed due process and listened to the voice of the people, so pay up losers.

This country is truly one coo-coo land of a place...

Implement E-Tolls, threaten motorists, plead with motorists, cry fowl against yourself for implementing E-Tolls, ride into the sunset as the crusaders who abolished E-Tolls.

I'm waiting for the billboard on the N1 to read "E-Tolls, proudly destroyed by the ANC"
