ANC to oppose e-tolls

This perplexes me.

The ANC were the ones who allowed eTolling to go ahead and now they are trying to look like the hero's by undoing it.

I stand to be corrected, but the cream of the corrupt government at the top still wants e-tolls, but it is rather a few members down the ranks who wants to undo this. Whether they will succeed remains to be seen.

I don't get perplexed by things like this anymore, my threshold for retarded ideas has increased tenfold over the last few years
 
You can tell which officials are receiving their bribes and who wasn't included.

Just wait for the other officials to receive their cut and they'll start singing a different tune.
 
The second biggest nice thing thing about E-Trolls getting scrapped,besides the fact that we wont be paying for an inefficient corrupt system that tried to steal our highways,is that we can give the idiots like Nazir Ali and Vusi Moaner the big up yours!

I would love to see the look on the faces of these people when it gets scrapped and all their threats,intimidation,lies etc get thrown out!:erm:

What saddens me the most is that even though I will be doing kart-wheels around the garden when the scrap the system, I need to remind myself that every time I see my pay-check, the tax portion was, is and will continue to literally either be flushed down the toilet or be used to wipe the snout of some dirty politician.

And I personally think that SANRAL is quite an efficient entity, minus this corrupt project that was probably pushed down their throats.

But hell yeah, I would love to show them the finger in satisfaction, but somehow I still think they will always have the last laugh.
 
The ANC top scum are using the etolls to siphon off the pension fund of the lower members and I dont think they like it.

This is provincial ANC, not national. How do people not know the difference?

The national government doesn't take its marching orders from provincial party structures.

This is just populist babbling in any case so the ANC can pretend they care about Gauteng citizens before the local elections.

I am sure that will happen, but these criminals will probably raise the petrol and diesel price by a minimum of R4 per liter, and you can expect another view raises over the next 2-5 years when we are likely to pay somewhere in the R35 per liter price range....

As little confidence as I have in the ANC, I don't see that happening without massive backlash from the voting population and organisations like Coastu. The main reason they're talking about scrapping Etolls is to improve their popularity situation. If that's the goal, then their next move is as important as scrapping Etolls in the first place.
