Indeed there’s always two sides of the story, and until you get the other side of the story, the first story always seem convincing. This is because the one who speaks first has the power to break the news, and amuse those who care to listen. But until the accused responds, the accuser tends to own the moment.

The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) came out guns blazing on Wednesday morning, accusing Public Protector Thuli Madonsela of failing to investigate “apartheid crimes” allegedly committed by Absa Bank. The league made mention of the “The CIEX report”, which it says was commissioned by the apartheid government implicating Absa (Bankorp) in apartheid corruption worth more than three billion rands.

Yep, you'd think they'd feel some pride in Thuli, and that their focus in a country where many, many women are stuck in rural areas with no hope of rising above their circumstances would be creating more women like her. Instead the only time they seem to open their fat, ignorant gobs is to smack black women who step away from the party line down. They are a sick joke.

Mbeki tackles ANC Women's League

Johannesburg - Former president Thabo Mbeki has berated the ANC Women's League for repeating the "baseless" allegation that he introduced President Jacob Zuma to the Gupta family.

"We have noted [Wednesday's] statement of the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) issued by the league’s secretary general, Meokgo Matuba, in which, as is the right of the ANCWL, the organisation faithfully and dutifully defends the Gupta family among other personalities," the Thabo Mbeki Foundation said in a statement on Thursday.

"The only thing we would like to add, which we hope the secretary general and the entire leadership of the ANCWL will internalise, is that lies have never saved anyone because lies have short legs."Earlier this week, Mbeki denied introducing the controversial Gupta family to Zuma.This was after*Mpho Masemola, a representative of the Ex-Political Prisoners Association, alleged the Guptas were a legacy of Mbeki's presidency."For the record, President Thabo Mbeki did not at any point introduce the Gupta family to President Zuma," the foundation said in a statement on Monday.

Even if the claims were true and Mbeki had introduced them, he could not be held responsible for what may or may not have happened between Zuma and the Guptas.
