ANCYL trashes toilets

And I didn't vote for the ANC. Shall I now go set the Union Buildings on fire because they're not doing what I want? It's not a fair system but tough s**t, deal with it.

If you didn't have basic services then sure go right ahead.

It's not a fair system but daaamn you are well off.

You mean like R1.4m vehicles? How about R50m on the King's House in Durban so Jacob Zuma can have 15 bogs installed? Mightier than thou? I think not.

Those too but it seems your grudge is with the ANC.

Thinking like yours will just increase the gap between rich and poor. A good life does not fall into your lap, you have to work for it.

No it won't. My thinking has led to the gap being reduced considerably since 94.

Your thinking is the easy way out to dismiss having to think about the problems apartheid made worse.

Sad how you match my post about wanting to have enclosed longer-lasting concrete toilets is not expecting a good life to fall into your lap.

wow thats a little graphic.
I never understood the mentality of "lets break the stuff we were given (that we didnt look after in the first place) so that we have nothing rather!1!"

Another one who thinks a mere vote would have changed everything.

A mere vote? A white, coloured, indian vote etc is a mere. The black population voting for you is the win and not close to mere. The non black folk can say our votes don't count for shyte because they don't but come tell me blacks feel the same.

You vote for the anc you vote for a poor life. DEAL WITH IT.

Well right now I have no water, nor a road outside my house. Does that count? Good, off to Pretoria with me then.

And yes, I work for what I have so I can pay for what they don't have. Don't be so quick to judge the well off because it's there money that put those toilets there in the first place. If I didn't earn what I did there would be zero hand outs in this country.

As opposed to any other governing party in this country besides the DA. You're now arguing the wrong point, and blindly missing the obvious.

Do you honestly believe that? Do you not see that its a few elite and middle class black folk who are benefiting whilst the majority remains in poverty. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Your thinking has done little to nothing for the poor.

Exactly, we are now a more unequal society than in 1994.

People need to learn that they must take responsibility for their own lives. A nanny state is not going to help anybody, especially the poor.

The stats don't seem to favour your remark:

It has declined "between-race", which shouldn't come as a surprise, but it has it has increased "within-race".

Now you're just perpetuating the same lies as the ANCYL. Still waiting for your response here BTW:

Well I think it's atrocious vandalism, why didn't any of the DA supporting local try to stop them? They were quite vocal at the meeting?

Why?

The irony is that you'd be paying the guavamints in other countries more than here, even though you have to look after alot more people here.

I think whatever support the DA has in Khayelitsha must be small compared to support for the ANC, so perhaps intimidation is an issue. The perpetrators are named in the article though, so the law should run its course.

'cos that's the job of SAPS.

Agreed, but nothing sells newspapers like a good dose of street justice.

From what I've heard it's the opposite, do you think they just won the province with the just the votes of the rich folk along the beach?
