Wait so only blacks work in those sectors? It is a god damn job dude. This is exactly my point, always want more.
You miss the point that that is the achievement they are limited to.

Seeing as the richest person is black it might get them thinking about how he got there when it's only whites who are supposed to be rich.
what is your point?
do you try to tell us "everyone is equal"?
from day 1 you were born to this world you are classified already. You complain about that?
who you have to blame? => your father and mother. Why they did not work hard when they were young. You may blame apartheid, but can your son(s) ask you, "father, why you did not work hard when you were young?"
The question is, why asian people could make money during apartheid but not your father(s) and mother(s)?
Who's that? Tokyo? Through an early life that allowed him to get a degree and other qualifications, which these people don't have. You truly believe they don't know there are rich blacks? Shows why they would be voting ANC.
Mr. Motsepe began his business career as a child when he would wake early to help his entrepreneurial father by selling liquor to mine workers at his father's shop. "I must have been about eight when my dad said one day, We make so much money when you're behind the counter you should take over the business when you grow up. But it was hard work, from 6am to 8pm.
Races are equal. Classes are not and some are born luckier than others. But the unlucky ones are still discriminated against on a racial basis and prejudice from the past, even though races are equal.
Races are equal. Classes are not and some are born luckier than others. But in SA class is often determined by race. The unlucky ones are still limited and discriminated against on a racial basis and prejudice from the past, even though races are equal.
Patrice Motsepe -
Does that sound like someone born with a silver spoon ?
In 2008 he was 503-rd richest person in the world, by the Forbes World Billionaires List. In that same issue of Forbes magazine, it was noted that the source of his wealth was not through any entreprenial zeal but through his association with the ruling political party the African National Congress (ANC).
so what is your point?
who determines which "race" to do "what"?
who "discriminated against on a racial basis"? (Except anc)
I don't see your point....
Does this?

From age 6, Motsepe spent school holidays working behind the counter in his father's store, where he says he learned his earliest lessons about business. "Whenever my father made a profit, he always plowed it back into the store," Motsepe recalls.
He graduated from the University of Swaziland and then became one of the few black law graduates of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, designated whites-only by the apartheid government (Motsepe had to apply for an exemption to attend). In 1988 he joined Bowman Gilfillan, one of South Africa's largest corporate law firms, and in 1993 he became the firm's first black partner.
My point is that previously disadvantaged races are still limited in achieving, in aspiring and aiming and setting goals, where previously advantaged races are still advantaged by the past which does not limit their achievement, aspirations, aims and goals.
First its "previously disadvantaged" and now it's "born unlucky" - they need to get off their arses and work for what they want and stop believing the ANC scumbags political promises of everything free (paid for by the small tax base).
My point is that previously disadvantaged races are still limited in achieving, in aspiring and aiming and setting goals, where previously advantaged races are still advantaged by the past which does not limit their achievement, aspirations, aims and goals.
Good shot, but the wealth does seem to have been hard earned and not handed on a silver platter.
Regardless, there are those of all colours and backgrounds who have succeeded against apparently insurmountable odds.
how?
we have laws do not allow "previously disadvantaged" to be a lawyer, a doctor, a teacher, a businessman etc.....
how that possible you have that conclusion?
"previously disadvantaged races are still limited in achieving, in aspiring and aiming and setting goals"
There will always be a some born at a disadvantage whether it be their families economical situation or their genetic ability to play basketball. You cannot change that, it has nothing to do with race, our past may have made it race based but it still would not change the current predicament of some being born unluckier than others.
Most business (>80% ?) is owned by whites. Whites would prefer to employ whites because the injustices of the past generally mean that whites are more educated and well off, have more western tradition and upbringing and are therefore prepared to work harder because they understand more about life and achieving, etc.
The Patrice Motsepe example shows us what can happen when blacks are afforded equal opportunities and work hard.
The fact that the majority of the previously disadvantaged still suffer does infact mean their children will born unlucky. You don't seem to understand that, and that even if they work hard they will still be limited in achieving based race/class and injustices of the past.

So you agree that the past has made it race based. Maybe you think its impact is less than I think it is.
