I am so fed-up with ASUS! To pay R10,000 for an i7, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Harddisk computer - and then - when you discover the massive short-cuts they have taken on essential things like status LED's, and an POWER ON/OFF button where the "End" key should be - and then "to make the computer affordable" they totally removed the "End" key!!!
And when I inquired about this, ASUS merely states "It is an 'entry level' computer for 'general office use'..."!!!
What do you use an office computer for? Word Processing? Yes, Definitely!! But don't use the "End" key to get to the end of the paragraph, as your computer will shut down immediately!
And oh my! Don't even consider an ASUS Laptop if you're into typing Afrikaans on the social media, because with the lack of an LED to indicate the status of the "Caps Lock" key and the "Num Lock" key, you will lose hours and hours of typed information when you try and key in any of the ALT-Codes, because your social media tab will instantly turn into a "New Tab" if your "Num Lock" key got tapped along the way somewhere - and you have not the slightest idea as to the status of it - and your Numbers keypad becomes cursor control keys without ANY indication or warning...!
So I just lost about an hour's worth of typing, and when I wanted to enter my "Copyright Mark - Alt-0169 (©) right at the end, my Web Explorer just closed the tab, and presented an empty new tab!
How frustrating! And all just because ASUS wanted to save a few cents on status LED's!
Definitely, NEVER will I be a victim of ASUS's "In search of Incredible" again!
Oh, did I mention the "Backup Battery"?
