Came across this on reddit this morning and I thought you guys will like it. Its an ad for the Galaxy Note:

:):D

That is a very cool advert, I would actually watch that instead of going comatose between shows.

And the ad shows the actual phone being used! This is better than most cellphone ads who mainly stick to cgi.

That's awesome.

For what it's worth, I still the Google advert for the Galaxy Nexus is one of the nicest smartphone ads I've ever seen:

See I always knew its a phone for giants.... and elephants, they just proved me right :D

European RAZR ad. Sex in advertising is lame and clichéd, but since the main selling point of the RAZR is the sex appeal of the thin form-factor, I guess I'm willing to give them a pass on:

On the other hand, am I the only one who thinks that the Verizon "Droid" advertising in the US is completely ridiculous?

Eg.:

They clearly spend so much money on these things, and I can't help but think that all they do is alienate everyone who isn't part of the teenage male demographic.

Another terrible ad was the Samsung Galaxy Note ad that aired during the Super Bowl:

What a ridiculous attempt at marketing. They have the biggest, fastest and most powerful smartphone on the market, they spend $10 million to buy airtime during the Super Bowl, and the only thing they can think to say about the product itself is... "it's got a pen"? Seriously, Samsung, wtf?

Imagine they'd aired the elephant ad during the Super Bowl instead. It would have caused a sensation, much like the VW "Darth Vader" ad last year did. People don't care about big budgets and cinematic production values; they like adverts that are cute and clever.

Was that pedobear at 0:30????

This just makes me want a Note even more, I wonder if the elephant comes with the phone....

If I were to get one I wouldn't be using it as my daily phone though, I love my Galaxy S2 and it goes everywhere I go. The Note I would probably use more for surfing the web and doing things I can't do on my S2, but then again I have a very capable laptop laying at home so I will probably think long and hard before getting a Note.
