Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

There are a number of apps that can recognise a tune playing on the radio like sound hound. Which do you use/recommend?

Is there a free app that will check my galaxy s2 then allow me to choose which files I can send to the memory card? I know you can set the apps to automatically go to card but want to make sure files like pictures or music are stored there too. I do not have a rooted phone and don't know how to root so a normal app from the play store will have to do.

You'll have to copy them there through the file manager. The camera app you can set to store photos and videos on the ext sd card instead on internal phone storage.

Thanks faniedry, will have a look. Been wondering if I can move files around via the pc too.

Yeh of course you can. If you plug your phone into a usb port you should be able to get two usb drives, the internal and external SDs. Might need to enavle usb debugging. Cant remember exactly at this moment.

Thanks guys, will have a look. Tried an app earlier but had no idea what I was doing so deleted it.

Have you tried es file explorer?

Anything out there like Jango (you rate music as it plays and it recommends music you've never heard before based on that)? I'm on my fourth alternative that doesn't really work...

Hi All
I have been looking 'google' for a few days now and cant seem to find anything solid, to do the following:
I have two phone, seperate numbers, one for work and other..
I am looking for an app that will automatically forward my whatsapp messages to my work number when I leave my Home phone at home.
I have tried tasker, I am sure its possible with this, but i dont have the knowledge to get it working. Can get it to send me a pushbullet note saying Ive got the message, but cant tell me who its from or what it contains.
Can anyone help??

Not possible, not with whatsapp. Closest you will get its whatsremote which will allow you to view your whatsapp conversations in a web browser. This will require root.
Whatsapp does not and likely will never support multiple devices. This is why I do not use it anymore.

Whatsapps code is closed, only way for someone to develop features that whatsapp doe snot want, such as the one you are looking for, would be to effectively hack or exploit it.

You could try Airdroid if you have access you a PC at work. And just use whatsapp on your pc.

OKay, I understand that whatsapp is locked down and all that.
But would it not be possible to intercept the whatsapp message or the notification and then relay the text, say using pushbullet or similar to another phone or number?

Well pushbullet can already do that, but not in its entirety. It can push the notification over, but the notification is not necessarily the whole message, especially for larger messages or when there are multiple messages. I use pushbullet to send the odd notification up to my PC, and its as limited as all similar apps would be in that it can only send what's included in the notification.
Pushbullet does not even store a record of that notification as its treated as a desktop alert, not an actual push.

The closest app to what you want is whatsremote, it will allow you to access the whatsapp messages via a web browser, but as I said, that needs root. It works well though. There is currently no way to auto-forward messages from 1 whatsapp to another.

Before upgrading to Lollipop, I had Tasker (Well technically AutoNotification) intercept the android notification for WhatsApp. Tasker would then run a SQL command to grab the last message from the sqlite DB. You could then use a SQL insert to inject the message into the sqlite DB and force quit WhatsApp. WhatsApp would then send the message when the service restarts. Not sure if it works on Lollipop though. I use Telegram now.

You have to be rooted.

I've seen an explanation similar to this but it's way too advanced for me!

Is there any keyboard that allows you to swipe the keyboard to move the cursor and hold the shift key to swipe and select?
The stock samsung keyboard on my S3 can just about do it but I want that feature on my Xperia.

Would be a dream come true if the keyboard also had undo/redo, built in Clipboard manager, dictionary and this amazing feature : hold down the letters C/X/V/Z and it'll send copy/cut/paste/undo commands.

That's the keyboard setup I had on my iOS devices with jailbreak tweaks, have yet to be able to emulate that on Android, very powerful setup that was.
