Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

Podcasts and listening to a few different ones throughout the day can become a bit tricky trying to manage what I have / haven't listened to etc. Ideally what I'd like is a media player that can show the play progress of each file. So for example I could have a few folders like:

PODCAST A
PODCAST B
PODCAST C

And in each of those folders have all the episodes but as each file plays a progress bar appears beneath each one. So at any time I can go into any of those folders and see what I was busy listening to.

Any media players that do something like that? If not - hit me up & let's get some app development going ;).

How about a playlist that only shows incomplete podcasts? I can do that with Pocket Casts...

Update: I can confirm that you can create a filter that displays unfinished podcasts, and it shows you how many minutes are left on each.

Thanks. Will check it out.

What is the business card scanner that y'all used?

Would appreciate input, as I don't want to sift through the myriad apps

A seriously useful scanning app is CamScanner (CS logo). You snap a photo of any document, it detects and crops to the edges, cleans the doc up and saves as a PDF. There's even OCR functionality to convert scans to text.

Never bothered with a dedicated podcast app before but this is already much better than juggling between 2 or 3 different media players :p. The customizable playlists are nice and the feature to delete 100% played tracks is also handy.

Thanks again :).

You're welcome. Best part about the app is the customizable playlists. I have mine setup in such a way that I start and play. Downloads happen automatically over Wifi, and space is also automatically freed. Enjoy.

I'm looking for a free app that resizes photographs. Some kind of photo editor.

I can't for the life of me find the resize function on my Z3. :erm:

[BACKGROUND]
I've just moved from BlackBerry to Android; got myself a Sony Xperia C Dual Sim because it was super cheap. Hit a lot of hurdles with it initially because of the limited internal storage (for those unfamiliar, it has a 1GB device memory, 1.2GB internal partition marked as "external SD"). I kept getting "insufficient disk space".

I soon rooted the phone, created symlinks to my SD card, and repartitioned the 1.2GB internal partition to 0.2GB and merged the 1GB left over with the 1GB device memory to get a 2GB device memory (so now I can install pretty much anything on my phone, and it symlinks to the SD card).

I have a 32GB SD card with a 4GB ext2 partition for apps, and 28GB left for photos, videos, data, etc.

Everything works so well that I've gone overboard on installing apps to the phone and now the phone is hideously slow.

I'm looking for an app that can show resource hungry apps, preferably showing which apps use the most data, most CPU, most memory, etc. and ideally over a period of time (rather than "right now") so I get a better long-term view of what the resource hungry apps are and I can deal with them.

As a side note, I'm presuming too many apps (even if they're idle?) will slow down the phone, but widgets are far more resource hungry because they're always running updates in the background.

Use Greenify to hibernate apps that you don't want running in the background.

Any apps that deactivate lock-screen security when connected to certain wifi? I've tried 'Safe Areas' but it doesn't support Lollipop 5 or 5.0.1. Any other suggestions?

Tasker with Secure Settings plugin

Does the lockscreen control work on non-rooted devices?
