I just tested "Common phrases" built into all stock sms apps. If you don't want an app running all the time, this is a fast and easy option.

On my Huawei P10 lite:

• open Messaging
• new text
• attachment icon
• select Phrases

I tested it with several lines of contact details. Type it in another app to get linebreaks and paste it in (when setting up phrases).

Although, Texpand is excellent and work well/faster.

It's also used when rejecting calls with an sms, so I would imagine so.

Edit: on my phone it's under Messaging/Settings/Advanced
 
Night Shift... is this a thing on Android?

I need to keep a log book of me taking my son to school and fetching him, due to the fact that he is in a special needs school.

Any app that will remember me when i leave to write down the km's and also when i arrive at school ?? GPS based reminders and logging ??

Thanks - doesn't look like it's available on my Moto Z. I tired to download a couple from the Play store but one wasn't available on my device and the other was just a pain to use - I had to disable it when taking photos, etc.

Seems like it should do the job.

My next task it to stop whatsapp from sending notifications alerting me that I'm using the desktop version... this is something I know.

Option 1 - The Samsung "Reminder" app is great... if you have a recent Samsung Galaxy (my Note 8 has this). It can trigger location reminders when you leave a location, or when you arrive at a location. The problem here of course is that it will trigger every time you leave the house, even when you're not on a school run.

Option 2 - You can set an alarm for the time you normally leave for school, that reminds you to record the starting mileage. And you can set a location reminder in Google Keep to pop up a notification when you arrive at the school. As a bonus, you can also use Keep to keep your journal! And as an extra bonus, you can use Keep for all sorts of other things!!

So im trying to use the Telkom 500GB midnight surfer to its best potential.

Has anyone come a cross an app that can schedule the wifi hotspot to auto turn on at a specified time.and the off again?
The device in question is a Huawei P8 Lite 2017 non rooted

Tasker. And ADM (download manager) to schedule downloads.

Edit: there are kiddy friendly alternatives to Tasker... :)

Lol I actually want to use the hotspot to connect to my PC,I've managed to automate quite a few things on there = jdownloader+qbittorrent + adsl account switching in the morning.
I've even got a macro to auto connect to the P8 lite running beautifully,just wanted to save some battery power by having it turn on at 00:05 and off at 06:55
