Android App & Widget Thread

There was a Sense-clone doing the rounds a little while ago, called FancyWidgets. Unfortunately not freely available on the market anymore, likely due to complaints from HTC. However, I believe the .apk is still floating around, I currently use it on my phone. Due to the fact that sites like xda are not allowing links to it I'm hesitant to link to it here either. Search for it, and ye shall find. :)

Yeah Im using FancyWidget as well, did not even know it was taken off... lol. Well, if anybody wants to test just PM me yuor email addy and I will send it to you for 'testing' :P

Best I have seen is Lookout Antivirus Security.

Only used it quickly so I can not recommend it or anything, though I don't use these weird one-man apps, only the popular ones, so I don't worry to much about virus infection.
 
Apparently McAfee recently bought WaveSecure, so I think we will see a couple of anti-virus programs from the big AV companies coming to Android sometime soon.
 
APN droid doesn't seem to work on my X10? 3G still on when activated...:mad:
 
So you guys must have all rooted your phones.not sure I wantto risk it.isn't the update coming at the end of the month. I can't believe that skype is not available on android.they are useless.I read somewhere that they will make it available near the end of the year.I dig this swype on the galaxy.

edit: I got net billing but it does not seem to record my 3g activity. What should I instead of this. It sucks not having phone rooted, since so many apps are on pay only. :erm:

The risk involved was minimal to start with, and with unrevoked the root process is really idiot proof now... Also, there are apps that works with Skype quite well, I use IM+, it has Skype and Facebook and everything, have not had problems.

I took the plunge and rooted it using ADK since my 3 button way does not work. i got IM but it is irritating, as it disconnects after 5 mins, since it is not the full version. damn irritating.
 
Since my phone is now rooted I got market enabler to get access to the paid market. So has anyone paid using their credit card? are there extra charges other than the cost in dollars ?

If you want a decent 3G monitoring app, download 3G Watchdog. Been using it for a couple of weeks and it really is awesome... Seems pretty accurate as well!

If you want a decent 3G monitoring app, download 3G Watchdog. Been using it for a couple of weeks and it really is awesome... Seems pretty accurate as well!

I got Network Monitor in the mean time, works well. Ithink will try 3g watchdog, to see if it is better
