Android Battery Percentage (Advise Needed): SOLVED

As far as generic Chinese batteries go, I've always had the most luck with these ones.

The gold labelling gives you the impression that they're a low quality rip-off, but I've found they actually work really well.

It's usually the ones that try to look like the Genuine OEM battery that perform the worst.

Lol. I just settled for whatever I could get. Would have been nice if I could get an OEM battery.

I have never bought from them as yet.. Maybe worth the risk..

Grade S+ is supposed to be as original OEM as you can get, using the same core components as OEM parts do..

Not sure which g4 you have, but that's the only g4 battery they list..

The price of the battery is same price as other Chinese batteries, so I will expect to get what I pay for again. But thanks for the link. =)

Would have liked to get a Powerbear Extended Battery but the price you pay when it get here is ridiculous.

I paid attention to mine yesterday, all is normal until it reaches 15% then it drops a percentage every 4 seconds:crylaugh:

Then again it is a el cheepo

You think it is still possible to get the OEM batteries somewhere? Mine did last very well.

Doubt it, post a wanted request on all the popular classifieds, see what you come up with

On second thought it does work quite allright, I just went to the nearest "Koelie" shop and asked for one, think it was R450

Maybe do the same

So I am still struggling to find a good non-Chinese battery. The one I bought the other day now only last a couple of hours.... Pffft.... I just want to try one more option before spending a couple of thousand on a new device.

Do you guys think this is an original OEM battery?

I don't mind the R540 price tag. Can wantitall be trusted when they state OEM? (Yes, they have a bad rep for ridiculous prices. )

It does say "non-retail packaging".

@$%#$%@%@^! $@$@#$$%#! ^$^%$#@$@$@%$!

Just got a message that they can't import batteries anymore. (I knew about the rule, thought they had special permission). Dammit.

Just the universe giving you another sign to get that OnePlus 6 :sneaky:

Might be a stupid question but your phone isn't perhaps using an abnormal amount of power? Lots of things running in the background?

No. I have already ruled that out. The original battery lasted very well. It is reaching the end of its cycle.

The Chinese battery really isn't good and was cheap. It is possible that there is a hardware issue that adds to the battery drain.

I've got a quote from LG and their parts supplier for R437 for new replacement OEM (EAC62818401) battery + shipping (Battery alone is R245). This is the last straw then I'm giving up and will keep it as a backup phone.

Have you checked with Accubattery?
I recently had a problem that the charger cable was not giving the proper mA charge, 150 instead of 750. It also caused the battery to discharge faster (not sure why). I just state Accubattery as it actually showed how much charge the battery was getting and estimated screen time etc. based on the battery. It also has an estimate thing for battery's actual capacity/state.

Swapped cable and phone lasts 1.5 days again instead of the 0.5 it did previous.

I read on an ad for one of the extended batteries that you have to charge it till full and then let it run till empty for about 4 charge cycles in order for the OS to calibrate the battery correctly.

Might work, might not...

Done this thanks. It is so the phone can calibrate or something.

Will give it a try.

AAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

I'm about to pay for the OEM battery and this is what I get: :mad: The universe is against me!

The universe wants you to get a new handset...treat yourself! See it as a early/late birthday present from PhireSide, but not using PhireSide's money:p
