Android box - wireless Kb not working?

It works well on windows and Linux but not on this android tv box for some reason. It's powered and communicating with the dongle (dongle has LEDs that flash when you send keys) but no mouse on the screen for some reason. Anyone else have something like this?

What Android Box do you have, and is it only touchpad that doesn't work or the Keyboard as well?

It seems that both don't work, though I should test that properly. I'll ping back here shortly.
 
if your device does not support a Bluetooth keyboard, then you might be able to use an app like "BluePiano keyboard wedge". not sure if that requires rooting (probably not) but there's a free demo download in the app store.

Bluetooth and regular mouse work fine, just the one wireless mouse I've tried seems to be a problem. It says it supports 2.4Ghz wireless mice though.
 
Just tested again and it's definitely not working - both the kb and track pad. Must just be incompatibility. I'll try another wifi mouse later.
