Morning,

I hope this hasn't been asked recently, but what would you recommend for a good Android emulator for a Win 11 Pro machine.

I've tried Bluestacks but that thing lags.

Any other suggestions.

Thank you

I do lots of app testing on emulators, the best but hardest way is to install andriod studio and sdkmanager so you can start it via command line, but involves adding environmental variables etc.

Chatgpt can guide you through it pretty easy.

Then you can start the emulator via command line with

emulator -avd PixelGoogle -memory 4096

This will start the emulator of choice (here googlepixel) with 4 gigs of memory. Easy enough to type 8192 and have 8 gigs

Next best is genymotion easier to setup and a simpler UI design but less features. You need, virtualbox (free and easy to install), genymotion and a free genymotion account.

You click add, select the device, select, ram, cpu etc and start. Will download and viola.
