Hey all,

Considering a new phone. I want something more powerful then my Galaxy Core Prime

Im a very heavy phone user, so I need something with a good battery life. My battery is currently on 34% and its only 9:45am and I charged it to full overnight. I know that no phone will last me the entire day, but i need something that can last me till 12:00 at least

The phone must also have a 5" screen.

What phone would you recommend for the budget of R4000?

You could also get a Moto G 3rd Gen 16 gig for about R3500 and it's a pretty solid device.

Lets talk about this for a second. Its not a bad idea, however, the chipset is the same as my current phone. While I dont seem to have a problem with those on my current phone, is the higher res on the moto G not going to affect performance?

Wileyfox Swift is basically the same thing at a cheaper price. As a bonus - you get Cyanogen OS

Do you have any experience with them? I havent heard much about them

If its battery life you want i would definitely head over to carbonite and look at the Sonys.

Lots of Z3C (if you can handle 4.7" screen), z3's and Z2's going for +- R4k,

My z3c still can easily do 1 day with heavy use after 1 1/2 years.

Not really, mine is still in the mail :D
What I do know is that it is considered by many to be the "budget" smartphone of the year. Only time will tell, but the reviews have been fantastic.

instead of throwing out the budget,

what about what I got,

innjoo fire
http://www.takealot.com/innjoo-fire-16gb-3g-smartphone-black/PLID38533035

you remember what I got, that galaxy pocket, and I upgraded to this on the advise of many here on MYBB,
It does everything you could ever want, and is super fast, hardly ever hiccups or thinks too much,
and is a dual sim so you could concevibly get a afrihost or FNB connect sim in the other slot

screen is good, and you do get a cover in the box, battery life is resonable,

Im happy with mine, but I seem to have some strange issues with ringing sometimes,
rings once, then silent, but ill wait till the updated firmware comes out for this phone before complaining.

My problem with it is that it doesnt look like its getting lollipop or marshmallow. If I get something like the redmi 2 pro, it is getting marshmallow, and thats a device thats only a tad more expensive.

+1

My Sony Z2 is 20 months old (Samsung batteries usually have given up by this stage...) and it seems as awesome as when I got it. I probably have a different issue pattern - but fully charged in the morning and around 30% that night 22.00.

Plus Z2s are cheap now ; pretty sure you'll get at R2,000-R2,500
