Android Head unit in an Amarok

I fitted an Android unit into my Amarok and it works well.

The problem I am experiencing is this.

When I start the vehicle the Android unit reboots because the supply voltage drops to around 9 volts. I have checked the battery voltage during start and it also drops at the battery. I have had the battery load tested and was told that it is good. It is also charging correctly and is less than 6 months old. Also the engine does not battle to start so all seems good that side.

What can I do to ensure the supply to the Android unit stays at 12 volts during the engine start?

Has anyone experienced this?

Many cars drop the accessory power during startup. Have you checked if its that or the voltage dropping?

In either case a decent size capacitor may work.

It is definitely the battery voltage dipping. What size capacitor would you recommend?

Something seems off about your battery at that point tbh. Possibly not big enough for what you're asking of it. Do you have any other draws on the battery beyond the standard Amarok stuff and your head unit?

I have an Android head unit in my Amarok and it doesn't do that when i start the vehicle, the head unit starts on the "Aux" portion of the ignition and stays on during engine start.
