Android - Images not loading in some apps for Galaxy Nexus (ICS).

Thanks for the explanation. Its just strange that only images were being blocked by the proxy. There was mention in the galaxy nexus thread about adult content filtering, is it possible that the proxy is doing this filtering? If so, two issues concern me:

1. Adult content filtering can be bypassed by disabling the proxy on "smarter" phones.

2. I can't remember , however it was pertinent.

If there are transparent proxies on your path it cannot be bypassed, unless using special client software and your own server in proxy-free area..

Right, so you mean that there are other proxies that the apn uses that we cant disable. But I still would like confirmation of what exactly the proxy was having trouble with.

Not sure if all proxies on ISP are dependent on APN. Caching proxy (for reducing international traffic) is probably outside of APN specific proxies. Confirmation? - They won't tell you that.

I'm not entirely sure if I should post here or create a new thread...

I can browse fine on Wi-Fi, but have no 2G/3G connectivity or MMS capability. I tried the suggestions in this thread, but still no joy.

I mailed Vodacom support and explained I tried the default settings on the phone, the manual setup settings from the Vodacom help site, as well as the Vodacom self service menu (*111#). Unfortunately the person who responded, Siphokazi Dingana, just copied and pasted the manual setup settings from the Vodacom help site. I replied to that mail and asked for some 'real' help this time around, but still waiting on a reply though. My ref number is: "00RL~LL1C".

Anyone else found something else that works? Love the phone by the way! :D
