They should really look at MIUI.

Firewall, and Application management per app, GPS and SMS/Phone abilities can be managed individuality as per image bellow.

It also prompts me before allowing apps any access the services like SMS and Phone address books.

Perhaps it is time for me to start looking at MIUI...

I use non-rooted device & have not noticed any unusual data usage. I DO carefully read the permissions apps need on installation & that is all that's really needed if one is using mainstream apps from the official market. It is also not that difficult to turn off 3G & WiFi access when I don't need it, thus preventing any app from using a data connection.

my dialer is using 20mb mobile data per month, even though i'm on on wifi half the day. any ideas why? lg optimus black. avg mobilation installed (and clean)
