Android Navigation App

In the same boat, looking for an Offline Voice Nav.

Try using this code for 30% off.

CODE: 6298910740762

Not sure if it will work.

I managed to get a code for 70% off when I bought a while back.
Google search.

Pity all the code I find doesn't work with the current sale. (Ending 27th of August)

I gave Waze a go this morning from home to work. I have to say that it works great. It really annoys me that it hangs/crashes. I think it only happens when I minimize it and open other applications (such as Whatsapp, dialer) which I don't do when I drive - except if someone phones me.

I also really enjoyed using Sygic, used it to a mall; and then tried Google Maps from the mall to home. Both worked great.

I have to add: Waze saved me from a fine this morning. I saw the little police man on the screen and slowed down... camera flashed for the guy in front of me.

I put sygic full on my bosses phone, he used it for a road trip half way up Africa and has used it in England, Germany and Belgium. He raves about it.

Stuff it, Just bought Sygic (Full Maps + HUD + 1 Year of traffic)

Will see if I renew the traffic part but at least I have the maps now so that part is sorted.

A long time ago I had Route66 maps on my Nokia 6110 Navigator. Really liked that gps. I think last year they launched their gps app for Android. Tried the 30 day trial and really liked it. I think the Samsung Drive&Walk app is based on this as it looks identical. The Route66 app cost $60 i think, but its a lifetime license with free updates and its transferrable to a new device. Anybody used this yet (I didn't use traffic updates and so on)? You can also download the maps for offline use if you want.

Not a fan of Route 66, had it on my 1st DHD (Preloaded). It had a tendency to route you via real dodgy area's, and in SA that was a no go for me.

Also while on the subject of Waze, Sygic has an app with simular logic in mind to Waze (Crowd sourced incident reporting) for free. The free version, doesn't have maps but act as a speedo with warnings and trip logger. (Might be handy for people that want log books)

I am torn between free and Sygic.

I am new to Gauteng, and I use my GPS to get everywhere. Since I purchased the TETRAX for my phone on the dash, I'm not sure which application to use. This morning Waze saved me from a potential fine and is free, but the app hangs when I minimize. Sygic costs money, but provides offline maps and has traffic updates.

What to do...

Google Maps!

Only downside is that is won't warn you about camera traps. Apart from that, I don't see any downside.

Great news about HERE. But I have searched the play store, high and low with my Sammy Note 3, and can't find it...
