Mitsubishi already put the robot on sale in 2005 with a 1.575 million yen price tag, and it have been used at dozens of events including the 2005 World Expo in central Japan.

Don't quite know what to make of this - a mixture of amusement and feeling very disturbed, but I can understand why the Japanese would need robots - there has for quite a few years been a high suicide rate in Japanese society which obviously does have a cyclic effect on the workforce, maybe robots will catch on in the rest of the world as well - but I think that is quite a few years away - humans in the rest of the world simply aren't ready to accept a robotic workforce.

Agreed, although, if they want my job, they can have it ... so long as I get the pay. I promise to get them a 'can of the best' when needed.
