Speak for yourself. I can say without a doubt you not a father?
If you can say something without a doubt, why do you put a question mark behind it?
No I'm not, but if I was there'd be all the more reason to keep my private stuff, private.

Again, the SIII (and most other newish Androids) can do this as well. You can plug in lots of other USB stuffs too, even PS3 controllers and the like. I think cerebus has (surprisingly) got it right. There must be some strategy behind it, it can't be for practical reasons since other phones are smaller, just as powerful, and have more storage.
You will understand once your kid ask for your Phone. Granted on my tablet it will be used more as I swap it with my wife, but I would have loved it on my phone for just a kids set-up.
Also, this is also where I love the new Kids Corner on Windows Phone 8.
If I was in the market for an Android device I would want one w/o a handset make skin on it.
Stock Android - so that would be the Nexus 4?
I wish I could get a guarantee that updates would be available within say 3 months of release by Google for x amount of time (say 2 years minimum)
Businesses could conceivably use multi-user accounts on phones for work environments and home environments.
In my operations we have several staff members on standby that shares phones as the numbers must remain the same irrespective of who's on standby. Each region has a number that is programmed into our dispatch systems. Each of the users will be chuffed to have the ability to create their own profiles for when they are on standby.
Put it in a backup phone? Store it away somewhere, who cares, it's their cards.
Or just not care about what background is on the work phone since they have their own phones to personalise as they want?
Backup phone? At who's expense? You clearly have not dealt with staff doing 14/7 maintenance. Every cent counts. What if he uses his own phone and it falls/breaks on the job? I have to buy him a new one. So I rather issue them with phones and they are responsible for it in the time they are on standby. And yes, they do care about look and feel. We're not talking about dumb Nokia 6110's here. The guys have got smartphones to do terminal emulation and they do use other specialised apps.
Um, gee, how about whatever they're doing now?
Speaking of retarded, who the hell wants multi-user support on a PHONE? Apart from there being private stuff on, who shares phones???? Unless you want the thief that steals yours to be able to create his own user account? So their answer to the question of why they do something as dumb as crippling their devices' storage space, is so they can implement an even dumber idea? It makes no sense really.
Multiple User Profiles
With Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Google is bringing multiple user profiles to Android tablets. This will allow users to easily share their tablets with their family members without worrying about their saved games progress or other private data. This feature is only for tablets, but I am pretty sure it is just a matter of time before custom ROM developers bring this feature to Android phones as well.

I speak under correction, but I could've sworn I read somewhere that the multi-profile feature is on the tablet release of 4.2 only, not the phone.
I'd tell them no, it's not a toy. Just like if they were to ask for my car keys or my electric drill or my credit card.
If you get a Nexus, you get the updates as soon as they are released by Google. For a while at least. The first Nexus can't run the new versions but I believe the Nexus S (second model) was updated to Jelly Bean.
Nope, not at all. Remember you're buying it carrier unlocked. It's the same as flashing your Android phone with a new rom.Doesnt still need to be operator approved? (MTN, VDC, Cell C etc.)
Doesn't get any easier than OTA.I would want stock but I would also want easy updating
Wait a bit guys AFAIK multi-user support on Android is tablet-only for the time being.
Yeah, Park@82 said so as well. But then why claim that phones are coming out without SD card slots to make multi-user easier, if multi-user isn't going to be on phones in the first place? The Nexus 4 ain't no tablet.
The lack of expandable storage in Nexus devices becomes one of the hottest and most controversial topics every time Google does a refresh and we find out that the next generation lacks SD cards entirely yet again. Couple that with the decision to limit onboard storage options to 16GB max, which is the case with the Nexus 4 at the moment and was the case with the Nexus 7 for a while, and you've got a full-blown revolt.
You may have read one explanation of Google's aversion to SD cards, which was brought up by Android engineer Dan Morrill last year: it's confusing to users to have multiple storage points, the insecure "free-for-all" area was not meant for private app data but rather for media, and essentially SD cards are the sources of all evil. Google's chief of Android user experience Matias Duarte reiterated the same points today. Whether you think the reasons are legitimate or bogus (in consumers' eyes), this is Google's stance on the matter.
Now, with Android 4.2, there's yet another reason...
