Somewhere far far away.
Here is a tricky one for you guys.
There is a tablet at home as soon as it connects to wifi it kills the DSL.
Even the PC's that's connected to LAN.

Disabling Wifi on the tablet allows other machines access to internet, but once this tablet is connected for a few seconds then it kills the DSL again.

Disabled apps that try to auto-sync but still killing the DSL once it's on

Possibly IP address conflicts. Maybe there is a device in the house that has a static ip and your dhcp server is leasing the same ip to your tablet?

Killing as it the pppoe, causing high latency, or making the router hang?

Nothing has static IP address. Yeah It kills PPPOE. Can't open any webpage from any other device on the network. I can still access the DSL Router web console, but that is about it. I had a Telkom Billion 400G router and replaced the router in the week with another TP-Link Router which did not make a difference.

Had a similar thing happen when my PS4 would be on and it would simply kill the network.

By the time I wanted to start logging packets and such it fixed itself.

Factory reset tablet.
Or
Install No Root Firewall app and see what tries to make a connection.

Will try that might be some hidden service running on the device, I tried un-installing all weird software, probably something hiding, will do the firewall app if not will factory reset.

Do you have 20/40MHz channel selection on the tablet? Most likely router is using 20MHz, try to force 20MHz on the tablet.
Also select the right region in all devices.

Will have a look this afternoon, not sure if the tablet has such an option, my cousin bought one of those cheapy Acer Iconia tablets. Yeah I know, not the best around, might even be some junk that Acer themselves pre-loaded on the tablet.
