Next Lock Screen - Microsoft

So I read about this one a couple of times already, but alas it is not available in our Play Store. Downloaded the APK from a 3rd party and installed it.

It's a lock screen replacement for your phone. It shows the date/time at the top. Meetings and sms's in the middle, and a mini app drawer at the bottom. The app drawer has 3 different "modes" Home, Work, and on the go, so you can manage which apps you use the most when you are at home, at work, or anywhere else. Swipe up to access more apps in the drawer, swipe down to unlock. The messages and meetings can be dismissed from the lock screen.

Here are some screenshots:

I downloaded it from here: apk4fun

That is nice, but I don't want that much functionality in my lock screen. It should be locked with no access to the phone.

Yeah me too, but that is just too easy for someone to gain unauthorised access to my phone

I don't have security on my lockscreen, don't see the need for it. My phone is always with me. Might as well take advantage of the empty space and make it useful.

Always with you? Until someone with a gun asks you nicely if he can have it...

It downloads to 99% then it just says downloading but doesn't finish.

Is this now the old Gmail revamped? What about Inbox now??

Inbox just seems to be Gmail with categories.

So you get finance, promotions, social, updates... etc.

Thing is that its email recognition is so bad it places certain emails in completely the opposite category. i.e FNB in promo instead of finance.

It takes some getting used to... It requires a lot of user input.

And then? What's he going to do with the information on my phone? If he keeps it on for some stupid reason... I'll remote wipe it. But we all know they rip that battery out a.s.a.p.

You just need to setup it up the way you want it. After that, it just works. Took me an hour or two to figure out what goes where, but after that... no issues at all.

Inbox must be used just to quickly read and organise mail. It's not supposed to replace the main app. Hopefully over time Inbox and Gmail app will be merged.

Where do we post regarding android games?

Found Asterix Megaslap to be a simple game. It's fun.

The aim of this game is to klap the Roman as hard as possible and see how far you can klap the Roman :D
