Errr, never noticed. I was watching the road :D

I did see it had distance and time to next turn etc, but looking at it now without moving, I can't see it.
I have one of those sticky rubber mat things on my dash that I just plonk the phone onto when I use GPS so easily within my peripheral vision.

Here also beeps when you go over the speed limit.

I know most don't care but I tend to stay well within the limit most times and especially when driving roads I normally don't drive.

That is why I love Sygic. The HUD function is the best thing ever. Just pop the phone on the dash and it turns my windscreen into a HUD with current speed, speed limit and next turn instructions.

Comaired it to Here on normal day to day navigation and find its routing to be superior as well.

Best R500 I spent. Bought the world maps on special some time ago.

Yea my boss uses it. Also pretty good. But in free I don't think anything beats here beta. Hope the non beta Version is not too expensive...

Downloaded Here from the Samsung Store and I can see it's pretty nifty. Love the offline map features and pretty easy to use.

HOWEVER, I put in the restaurant which I went to last night and it wasn't found. And it's one of the fancy popular ones in this town. Maybe the power of Google might win the search feature.

I think that they are on the way to copying all of the features anyway. Really, update Maps and have a look, it's pretty funky and pretty similar.

Talking about APK download...

I use Feedly for all my Android news. I've added Android Police, Android Central, and last night, APKMirror - which is AndroidPolice's site where they post all the latest apk's.

Have some other sources on there are as well, even MyBroadBand's RSS feed goes straight in there. Don't know what I'll do without it.

Try it Play Store Link

Even has an awesome Chrome add-on for reading on the laptop or pc.

It does not find as much when you work offline, the offline maps are just a bonus and work better if you type in street addresses.

What a brilliant app. I've been playing about with it between my S5 and MBA and it is pretty flawless. Need to wait for the Safari extension but nonetheless, apps like these make me happy :)

I wonder if there's any noticeable increase in battery use? Every time a copy is performed on the pc it's pushing data to the phone. Or would it be so negligible as to be a moot point?

Consider it stepped up. Everything from adding favourites to storing offline maps is easy and convenient, and it feels intuitive now whereas before it was quite a confusing experience as I'd only use it once in a while so forgot my way around it.
Yea tried it yesterday. Still prefer here. Other reason for liking here is I can save my actual home location. Google maps can't do it as I live on a plot and it needs an address.
I can give it the plot address but then it's still around 1.2km out. Or it picks up the closest road from my house as the crow flies and that is about 6 km driving out.

Oh and here shares my location when I need to like a boss. For the first time ever I got someone to my house by just sending them a simple link.
