I created a basic app to get the latest tweets from Eskom which will keep you up to date about the loadshedding.

This is only for android: http://www.appsgeyser.com/1361407

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Please keep in mind that I did not do the coding (still learning it) and the app was created by the website Appsgeyser. This is also my first app that I create.

Is would have been nice to receive a push message from the app if a new tweet has been posted, but that is a future feature maybe. Bonus is also you don't need a twitter account to access the tweets from Eskom. Normally twitter apps would require that you have a twitter account.

Will publish it on google Play next week.

Yea tried it yesterday. Still prefer here. Other reason for liking here is I can save my actual home location. Google maps can't do it as I live on a plot and it needs an address.
I can give it the plot address but then it's still around 1.2km out. Or it picks up the closest road from my house as the crow flies and that is about 6 km driving out.

Oh and here shares my location when I need to like a boss. For the first time ever I got someone to my house by just sending them a simple link.

You can drop a pin and save it? It will use the coordinates

I drop a pin and next time I come back the pin is on the closest public road.
Edit, new version does not do this but you still can't set a pin as home location. Only way to set home is to type in an address.

Spam blocker recommendation.

Mcafee free anti virus and security. Fantastic for blocking spam, as it blocks all messages containing key words that you add to a list. For example, just add "opt out" as a key word and 95% of your spam should disappear. Forget all else, just use it for spam control.

Though the app privacy advisor should be very useful if you are one of those who believe every app is spying on you. Apps are rated as low/high, average/above average risk. Much better than blindly deleting apps by only considering their permissions.

No paid subscription needed if you are wondering.

Doesn't Eskom have Facebook? Why twitter? Why not both?

Yeah, Eskom do have Facebook. But twitter is short and sweet and to the point. And there is so much hate post of facebook...wonder why. :p

And another reason is I am not a facebook fan, don't even have a facebook account. :D
