It doesn't seem like you guys are aware of how powerful Evernote is. I'm pretty sure Keep couldn't come close to replicating it's functionality.
I agree, Evernote is a great app. I used it a lot to make shopping lists that I can view and tick off on my Gear. Unfortunately there's no Tizen Evernote app so I had to resort to using GTasks for that. (which is also a great app btw and it syncs with my Google account)

Now I mostly use Evernote together with EverClip or Web Page Clipper to save interesting Web articles to my Evernote account. Yes I know Pocket does basically the same thing, but I like Evernote more.

Yep, i use evernote as well. Web clips, notes, hand written notes, all sorts of attachments, can even send a mail to my evernote to save it, or save it straight from outlook with the plugin.

For shopping lists though I use keep, as I can tixk things off right on my watch.

PS: I did the review of my LG G Watch R.

Yes, Evernote is very versatile that's why I love to use it.

Thanks, going to check out that review right now.

My experience with Evernote is that it chows battery. That was the case on my Note3 though. Haven't used it for a long time because of that.

No battery issues at all over here. And I have it on my Note 4 and my watch.

How does Evernote make money?

They have a premium subscription. Which I have from my Note 3 days. Got a year free premium with my Note 3. Then I got another year free with my Note 4 :D

Ah, thank you! Now it makes sense. :)

I always worry when an app is "completely free", cos you know it's simply not sustainable. Rather sooner then later the advertisements, etc. will creep in.

There was something about Evernote that I disliked intensely when I tried it a couple of years back. I can't remember what that was, so I will have another look at it.

Compliments of the season, all.

Whatsapp on the desktop (read: web via Chrome). Has desktop notifications, needs Chrome, otherwise free.

The app is open source, so the paranoid amongst us can verify the encryption, etc.

A few seconds delay, but works well otherwise. Requires root on your device.

Consider donating if you like.

That's why I've switched back to Google Keep. It's clean. Ease of use. Can be synchronized with any Android device/PC instantly. Material Design FTW! It's the future!

Well, if you only take quick notes or shoppings lists, sure... but anything more advanced is impossible.

I prefer Tasks for list stuff. It stays in sync with Google and the dark themed widget is really good.

Did you not read its prompts, it will. It does a poll sync every few seconds for QA messages unless you give it notification access.
UP until last nights update I prefered whats remote, but had WC on for the last 3 days and have given it notification access I have not seen any significant battery changes.

I did notice that as I could not start a chat there, I went to my phone and did it and the portal only updated much later when the reply came through, so with notification access it does not sync, it only watches for notifications and updates on incoming messages, or when the connection is opened.
