Android Useful Apps

Does anyone know how to turn a Tablet into a "bluetooth headset" for hands free calling? I want to mount a Nexus 7 and use it as a GPS / music station, and possibly use handsfree without having to install a parrot hands free kit as well. Her Polo has a 2 DIN slot so it should work fine.

The latest google calendar app update added week numbers (the only feature I was missing) and the ability to attach files from google drive to invites.

I'm really liking this app more and more.

I've used DigiCal+ for a long time now as my calendar. Great app. Haven't felt the need to look at other calendars. Is there one in particular that has a nice material design and syncs to Google?

So I checked out some of the most popular calendars and I'm definitely sticking with DigiCal+. I can't stand calendars that don't keep it simple.

Also check out Cal from the makers of Any.Do

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anydo.cal

Great integration across the board. Used all the others as well, now using this as my primary with Any.Do for tasks that are time or location based.

All I want from a calendar app is the ability to have the month view as default, for the app to not exit the month view screen when I touch a particular day (but rather just show the entries at the bottom of the screen), and for Google Calendar sync.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I started using the Ghostery browser recently. I have been having problems with ads redirecting me to scam websites while browsing (popup says phone is out of memory, then anything you do redirects you to some dodgy page trying to get you to install a "virus scanner"). I tried 5 or 6 different Antivirus apps and none of them stopped this from happening. Happened on Chrome and stock browser. The Ghostery browser check for all scripts running on webpages and blocks them all (if you want). I also use the add-on on Chrome on my PC.

From Play Store description:
Description
While you browse, companies are tracking what you read, what you buy, what you click, and what you share. Ghostery detects scripts from Facebook, Google, and hundreds of other ad networks, behavioral data providers, web publishers - all companies interested in your activity. You can learn more about these data collection companies and block them from tracking your activity as you browse.
The Ghostery Privacy Browser is a full-featured web browser with functionality from our popular desktop tool built in. It's easy to configure and simple to use, allowing you to browse the mobile web with quick load times and exceptional privacy.

Chrome also have those two addons.

Firefox is my secondary browser. Primary is Dolphin. Has been for sometime. Firefox is good; just haven't settled in with it yet.

(Desktop...if I may, I am finding that FF us trumping Chrome on several levels. Just something about Chrome that has lost its edge.)

I use Opera on desktop now. It renders very well, has the best Youtube addon of any browser, has a nice landing page and generally gives me no issues.

I use Chrome on Android. I had used Firefox for a long time, and then Opera Mobile for another long time, but I find Chrome is the fastest and makes it difficult to use the others now.
