Android Useful Apps

Not an app but a useful tip nonetheless. I turned a contact that I know blocked me on WhatsApp into a notepad. It has helped for typing out simple notes, things to remember, directions etc while on the move.

Dare I mention Google Keep, even has check boxes for lists.

Just search WhatsApp for “you“ and that’s your own number
In the absence of Vanced I've sometimes shared a yt video with myself on WhatsApp then play it in WhatsApp without ads.

While on the topic of useful things vs apps per se. I use this often. Want to WhatsApp someone without adding them to your contacts?
Just add this url to your favorites and when you start typing "API" the string will come up.. Paste/type their number at the end (no spaces and must have int. dialing code) and hey presto, direct WhatsApp without cluttering your contact list with temporary people.

This is what I do. It works perfect. Also when sending files from my Whatsapp Desktop to my Whatsapp Mobile.
Telegram has "Saved Messages" that shows as a contact as well if you have it, not sure why WhatsApp hasn't copied this.

It's also handy as a pasteboard between desktop and mobile and sending links between the 2.

This is a fake.

I actually had someone block and unblock me on WhatsApp. It was a seller on Bid or Buy who sold me defective controllers. They decided to unblock me after Bid or Buy contacted them to follow up.

They don't see messages received while they had you blocked.

Yes. I use it as well.

It was also a quick way to reduce image sizes when I took pics on my DSLR and they were to big to send out. I'd just upload the messages on WhatsApp and then re-download the WhatsApp modified one.

I don't disagree with you logic here but, I think you need to relook at the quoted image.

Anyone using an app decent stopwatch widget?

Hi All

I wrote an app for my adventures, mainly flying hiking and cycling that allows my family to track my progress. I found that apps like Whatsapp are not that useful in helping locate you in the case that you get mugged or your phone dies, as it does not leave a breadcrumb trail. There are quite a number of flying schools and riding groups now using it, so give it a go if you want a simple way to be tracked, whatever your activity, even just driving home. Your follower does not need the app, you share your track via a secure URL link.

Looks cool.

How do you share a track after tracking is finished? I went into logs but I don't see an option for that.
Also, is there any way you can allow tracks to be exported as a file (.kmz/.kml/.gpx/etc)?

Where can I get this forum's mobile app? I search on google play and it did not pop up.
