Android Useful Apps

Thanks :-)

How does this compare to teamviewer? (anyone can answer if they have experience in both)

They are different type of solution to achieve the same goal. With remote desktop app, you need to make port forwards on the outward facing router pointing to the server ,and have a static IP/ dynamic DNS to get it working. However this is the smoothest rdp protocol app I have used. Advantage is it's native windows DNA that you are getting access to

I consider Teamviewer to be the gold standard between the two. If you compare features and facilities.

+1
For team viewer, I don't do anything special, all my servers connected using the same login. On the android app, I can login, and a list of my computer pops up. No fancy footwork required.

I use a combination of Quickoffice (Google) and Microsoft Office. I've tried them all and settled on this combo.

I only use Quickoffice myself, but may be tempted to also use Microsoft Office. At least I have it if need be...

For those in Gauteng...

E-Toll Gantry Log

"Keep track of your Gauteng e-Toll gantry passes to compare to your Sanral e-Toll bills. The app also calculates your approximate etoll bill. Gantries can be set to track automatically or can be added manually. After each month you can export this log to an excel spreadsheet."
