Android Useful Apps

For me, the best app is MiXplorer - free unless you want to pay. It's a great file explorer and storage access app, for dropbox etc. It's also a doc reader and music player.

anyone know of a free Android file explorer that can read and process NTFS and ExFat storage?

NTFS is no longer compatible as far as I know

no longer automatically compatible but there are lots of paid apps that can do it - just looking for a free app that will do it (why pay for something when you absolutely don't have to)

there are some that say free but expire after a short trial period is over and when they have you hooked they want you to pay - i will eventually buy one when my finances recover but i need something free to tide me over for a while

Try File Manager Plus.

installed it and realised that this is the one i was using with my Poco F1 for years ..... it doesn't really read NTFS or Exfat drives (or maybe i am unable to find a way to mount those properly) ..... no matter - Zugate seems to be working just fine for me

above pic is of Zugate mounting the external drive while using Samsung Dex onto an external monitor

below pic is of Zugate mounted files in the regular Samsung file explorer after the drive is mounted

and this is how the files open when you start browsing in the file manager

so i'm pretty much sorted for now - i will eventually buy Zugate when i need to so that i dont have to worry about whether trial periods will expire or not

thanks for the replies

Hi Guys, I made an android app that I think could be pretty useful. The core function is user generated geofences that trigger upon arrival, the notifications are simple tasks or complete lists.

Please try it out and share feedback please.

Hi, at the moment not but I am busy implementing WhatsApp in various ways. As the app is very new I just wanted to get the core functionality out and working properly

Not an app, but something that drove me crazy

nah - i actually liked it - you can swipe from the corner to get the "Quick Settings" and swipe down anywhere on the screen to get notifications separately - this was extremely useful to me ...... everybodys mileage will vary ..... some will like it and some wont

either way its been like that for a while now and im very used to it by now
