Android Useful Apps

i can see its available on my nexus 7 but not on my LG p970
via the web browser

Also what happens when you follow the Play store link I gave above?

If I follow the link on my phone I get the same screen shot I showed above. If I follow it on my PC it asks me to log in and then tells me....

Thanks for the apk. It also shows as 'not compatible' with my SG3 here in Senegal :wtf:

You know the Yanks, the world means the US and Canada.

K guess I am lucky then, or maybe its the same as Google Body. I still have Google Body in my apps list but when I tried to install it for a friend they could not find it.

ok tried to look for it on my device but couldnt find it
but I can find it using the link alpha posted on my desktop
i installed it via my browser and it worked...

weird though...

Hm. I have Google Earth installed on my GS2 and my Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite. Searching for it reveals nothing, but clicking on the direct Play link shows full compatibility (and "installed").

Can you guys suggest a good driving logbook app that one can use for SARS?

Does it have an auto option?
I hate these apps where you have to start/stop trips. Must detect when I start moving and start recording.

Don't know about the app specifically, but an option is to use either Llama or Tasker, that whenever it detects bluetooth pairing (you use bluetooth in your car, right? Otherwise choose 'earphones plugges in' if that is what you usually do in your car on your phone) to automatically launch the app. At least you'll see the aop pop up on the screen so you can tap 'start tracking' or whatever...

I can imagine that being a bit tricky as walking would also be conaidered movement, also most people would probably want the manual control. Also seeing as the tax man only rebates for direct work related trips, which excludes the drive to and from work, automation would simply give you more work to do when it comes to sorting it out.

Makes more sense if ita purely for tax purposes to manually start and stop applicable trips and not have to qaste time sorting out the relared from the unrelated.

Depends on use. Me != you ;)

I work as a contractor under my own CC, so I claim everyday when going to my client(s). I do way less personal trips than business.

My car auto locks the doors when I hit 30km/h. Same kind of thing could be used to determine car movement. Can also be a setting in the app (manual, min speed, etc).

EDIT: I currently use my Skytrax subscription to help separate business/personal. You just define a trip as either, and every time you do that trip it is logged correctly.

Anyway, I just want an Android app that auto logs.
