Android Useful Apps

Started using mpe a while back when SE brought out their Walkman phones. Good to see them still at it
 
Did a quick scan of the thread but couldn't find anything.

Anybody have a decent app for tracking apps that have gone on sale or is free for a period of time?

I have the AppSales app installed but it is not too great when I compare it to a similar app I have on the iPad.

Not really going to find anything in that line, mostly because of the lack of API to monitor this changes in Google Play.

Lifehakr mentioned one recently that was apparently very good, Android wishlist type app, you would share apps you wish to track with it and it wod alert to any price changes.

Cannot remember it's name at this time, but should not be too hard to track down, Lifehakr is well sorted and easily searchable, i am just not at a pc now.

They have a Free version, if you can live past the 25 file at a time limitation it could work for you.

Limitations of free version:
* Sync up to 25 files at a time. After that you need to manually keep syncing the rest.
* Windows media player support is disabled.

I used it for a while before I forked out cash for the full one. Sure the 1st Sync sucks as you have to keep on pressing sync to get the next 25 files but after that it was smooth sailing. Reason I went paid was mostly to support the developer.
 
Don't know if you guys noticed but Solid Explorer went out of beta and is now a paid app.
Solid Explorer (Trial)
This is the best file manager I've used on Android.

Everything I ever need is still in a Free App, ES File Explorer.

Solid was better for a very small time when ES didn't have GDrive and other cloud support, but like I said small time.

Yeah I also use ES. But Solid is better IMO.

I often copy large files form the network so the split panels makes it a pleasure to work with. It also seems to copy faster from the a network and one could pause or stop a copy process.

Another thing I have noticed with ES is that it doesn't tell you why it failed to copy e.g SDcard is full (were solid seems to do this).

And another useful feature on Solid is the Filter, for when you browse though a large directory looking for a specific file... /ES didn't have any of these last time I looked.
