Android Useful Apps

No but the desktop app negates the need for Google tasks for me. I have never understood why Google doesn't release a proper API for tasks, and as far s I know you have to log in via your browser If you want to use GTasks on the PC which doesn't work for me.
Hence the very rare (for me) recommendation of another cloud service.
Personally I wish hey would open it up so I can use it from Thunderbird, and until then Wunderlist works for me

From the Rom Manager creator comes a backup solution that doesn't need root:

Carbon (Free) features:

Backup and restore to SD card
Backup and restore from PC

Carbon (Paid R45.00) features:

No ads
Automatic Backup schedules
Android to Android sync
Cloud backup and restore
* Dropbox
* Box
* Google Drive

Best WIFI

Not everyone will need this but, if you have two or more WiFi APs with different SSIDs and you constantly need to switch between them (like I have to) because of signal strength then this app is pretty useful.

It automatically switches to the AP with the strongest signal...

What's the difference between EasyTube 2.8 and TubeX 1.7.5 ?
(The link offers downloads for both but doesn't offer any explanation)

I first used EasyTube in the beginning, then TubeGod (TubeX) to see what the difference was ... reality .. didnt see anything, so just stayed with TubeGod...

EDIT: I have also wondered why both? Maybe I missed something? TubeX does what I need...

When I refer to it as TubeGod, cause that what TubeX is called once installed... weird developer?

A quick test using easytube revealed it couldn't find the videos I want to download, let alone download them, it also doesn't show up in the open with dialog box whereas tubex does. Guess which one I kept...

Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper

Keeps your phone rooted through OTA updates (havent tested it myself yet). Only works with SuperSU (which I think can survive OT updates too in the pro/paid version), but Voodoo is currently free

Link

And if there was some other easy way to keep root through OTA, I couldnt find it :p

Also handy when you need to temp unroot.

^^ dude please remove that post before monochoice builds a thing into their app that detects Voodoo on your phone... They go to great lengths to stop people from not doing things their way. And yes they do have eyes on these forums.

It almost want to make me post my apk's that work on both Eee pad and rooted devices.... sadly as you mentioned with the eye's here all I can do is say its possible to remove said checks ;)

Edit: and no I will not share em via PM's

Sadly I can not get it to work with mine. I tired a few hacks but none seems to work. It doesn't see root but it refuses to connect.
If you ever upload it please pop me a link.
