Android Useful Apps

Sorry if posting in wrong thread, but think this is still the best place for this question.

I am trying to edit a profile in Llama. I make my changes in the edit screen, no prob. But,.there is no 'save and exit' option to select, so I just press the back button, right? But this does not save my changes!

I've tried copying the profile and editing that copied (non-activated) profile, but to no avail.

Can someone tell me if I am missing anything? (I've tried to search online and emailed the developer)

Yes, just press the back button. Pretty easy to test though. Press back, go into profile again and check if changes were saved...

Yes, that's what I did, and it did not save the edits.

I just checked, and I can edit my other profiles, but not the 'quiet' profile. Irritating, because that's my work profile.

I'll try create a profile from scratch :)

EDIT: OK I figured it out. Such a dummy.

'Choose vibrate mode' must not be set to silent, if you want to change volume of notification. :p:rolleyes:

Ubuntu Phone Exp is back on the market under the name GloveBox :)
 
Can't recall how I came across, was sure it was in here - but I can't find the post.

But Gumtree SA finally has an Android App out and its awesome. Free.
On the PC at the office and Play Store's blocked.

But go and search for it - what a relief to finally have it :)
 
I have a HTC Desire S and used the "internet pass through" feature quite a lot. (It basically lets you use your computer internet on the phone via a USB cable because I don't have Wifi).

Now I rooted and installed CM10.1 which doesn't have this feature (Its a Sense thing). Can anyone recommend a good reverse tethering app that will let me update and install my apps using the computers internet like internet pass through used to do?

AnDLNA + DICE Player will let you stream from any DLNA media server e.g. like Serviio

PS: DICE supports SMB, so if you dont want to setup a DLNA server, you can just use a Windows share.

I use it to stream to/from my media center. I wouldn't want to delete anything from my media center.

If you stream a video from your phone/tablet to tv, you can delete the file afterwards via any file explorer...
