Android vs iOS

Never have and never will understand what makes Apple so special. Except the MacBook, which is the best when you want to do serious graphic design.

That was the case with the Powerbook processor. Now that they are using Intel, and have been for years, it's a level field.
Also, the current Macbook Pro CPU is around 3 generations old and will hopefully be refreshed in the next 2 weeks.
The desktop devices are even worse, looking at the MacPro and MacMini.

The only place Apple's laptops have an advantage at the moment is in their price.

Android devices pass all your information, secret or not, back to Google. At least most of Apple's phones do not do this. Facebook on an Android phone is like lying in the street naked with your pocketbook, saying "help yourself"

lol! What makes FB any different on a iOS device compared to a Android device?

If you are going to post something, and make it sound like you are right, you need to be correct.

Go look at the Privacy agreement for Apple and you will see it is the same as Google. They all get your info, and they all pass it on to 3rd parties.

People that spout the stuff that you just said, well, it's an easy way to tell who bought the product for bragging rights.

From Apple's privacy policy:
"Apple and its affiliates may share this personal information with each other and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy. They may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising."

From Google's privacy policy:
" We use the information we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones, and to protect Google and our users. We also use this information to offer you tailored content – like giving you more relevant search results and ads."

I own an iPhone. My answer to your question is: Nothing. I just chose an iPhone because at the time I owned a Nokia and an iPod and wanted a single device which combined mobile and music. The iPhone 3 was that device. I have never had any reason to change. I don't care which is better. My music is on my iTunes and I can't be arsed to change unless Apple become so bad that I have to. I bought an iPad about 2 years after getting the iPhone. Then I bought a MacBook. Then I bought a Mac mini. I am more invested in the Apple ecosystem as far as media is concerned. It worked for me. I'm sure there are things that Android can offer that iOS cannot, but they aren't important to me, so I won't bother. They may be important to others and that's fine too. Now I hardly ever switch my Windows PC on at home. Only to vpn in to work because it's easier with a Windows keyboard on our work systems. At home I mainly use my MacBook and Linux server.

I currently have an iPhone 5s. I will probably only upgrade to the iPhone 7. Or maybe even skip that. And if your wondering I have never watched a single Apple keynote. Only the dev bits :)

I find it strange that people seem to get so upset that other people might choose a brand which is different to their choice. Well, maybe not strange, funny perhaps :) it seems people are very insecure about their choice of smartphone :)

You think Apple doesn't do the same?

Ignorance is bliss.

How about a graph showing %device shipments with Android 6 vs IOS9

Most Android devices still ship with Android 4 or 5, very few with 6.

Silly comparison.

Nexus devices have it for months already, if the OEM and cellphone providers want to reskin it and add their junk then its their own doing.

If you are spending iPhone money on Android, you'll get 6.

If you are buying bottom or low end devices you won't

You can't compare a cheap budget Android device to a R15,000 iPhone.

You lost me here. There are billions of websites and stories of how bad iTunes is. Apple even had to send two engineers to one okes house to find out WTH is up with it but they couldn't. Install Google music manager, point it to your collection and let it upload. If you have Chrome you don't even need to install anything else. Just use the play music extension.

Aah, backstreetboy, the poster child for Android uber alles, the tip of the spear of I'm right and you're wrong, the champion of conform to my standards or you're an ass.
So, BSB, back in the day, when I used to build my own specced Windows machines, I tried Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Media Monkey, AIMP 3 and even Zune... I settled on iTunes (even in a Windows environment) because it was the best for me. The experience improved on my Hackintosh and now it's supreme in my Mac environment (MacBook, ATV, phone and tablet). I'm not changing for anything, neither the hardware, OSX, IOS OR iTunes... Also, I won't have Chrome on my machine for any reason either. That's me, and it works for me. You do you 'tho, 'cos in my world we CAN all get along.
The choirs you're preaching to have already chosen their denominations and they're quite happy there, thank you... The sooner you get this, the healthier and happier you'll be too.

I've used both since 2008. Two iPhones and two Android phones. I liked them all. Might even go back to the iPhone 7 if it's interesting.

All I see is a bunch of butthurt IOS people continually posting how Android people are the worst.

Shame.
