Android vs iOS

So I'm connected to wifi.
How do I copy a 300mb video file from my friends pc to my IOS device?
And if I'm on the road and need an app to edit that video file? Right...I can't access that video file via a commonly accessible file system.

iCloud. (Or any other cloud service)

See, It's looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist if you just change your mindset of the way you work.

It's one of those things where Apple is again ahead of the game, as long as you embrace their logic/method.

If you are trying to employ old school USB stick logic, you are going to have a bad time, no argument there.

But it's not the only and certainly not very efficient.

My iPad hadn't touched a PC in years. My new iPhone hasn't connected to one at all.

(Yes I realise the link in question says no Internet. But that isn't a reality in the modern world. The question then really is why have an iPad or tablet at all.

There are use cases for both access methods and since Android allows users to employ both methods, that makes Android better in my book. Walking around the office trying to find signal to get to the presentation I saved to Dropbox at my desk on a different machine is no fun.

I think on Apple they call it Airdrop or something. You don't need cables any more and Wifi direct is way faster.

That feature hardly works, between my Macbook Air and iphone/ipad it probably worked five times in all the years it was an option.

It is quicker to use Dropbox or Google Drive.

So no. Airdrop isn't an answer since you cannot Airdrop from a Windows pc either.

Since cloud storing options I never had to hook up a usb dongle or my phone to copy a file. Granted, if it's a few 100MB it does make sense.

Apple could always create some sort of internal storage to allow this. A folder that runs in a jailed environment for example.

I've not really had any issues and I use it regularly. You do know that the device you want to transfer to has to be in a close vicinity in order to to setup the encrypted direct wifi connection? It uses Bluetooth to create the connection.

Airdrop. You don't even need to get on their wifi or carry a cable with you.

Personally I again never have these weird situations where I need to get files from my friends with my phone. Or a flash drive for that matter.

iMovie.

For sure.

But I can argue I've never needed your other method because I embraced the other more efficient one.

Also can't say I've had these signal problems. Get a better network?

Point is an all Apple system works every bit as well as the Android system you guys are punting.

In fact it works better because it's restricted To Apple only, but that is also the exact problem you all have with it.

In reality it makes your life easier, not harder as you like to think.

Yeah, no.

Reported for trolling.

How is this trolling? I am merely stating an observation and I did not attack anyone individually.

I have never met anyone using an iPhone who could give two ****s about Android. Android users on the other hand seems obsessed with iOS and iPhones. They keep themselves busy by telling everyone how **** Apple is and how much "freedom" they have on Android.

Kind regards.

Why does it affect you so badly what people say?

Said it when the Iphone 6/7 or whatever came out ... people waiting 6 days , camping outside the store to be the first to get it. wtf!!! So there is some obsession with Apple IPhone.

Like people don't place their orders at their SP for the latest Android flagship. Take a chill pill.

Just came back from the states and boy...iPhones are the norm, its a shame to see so many people missing out.
